Writing topic 42: Graffiti
Dear students,
In this task, you are going to share your views on graffiti.
Do you think graffiti is art or vandalism?
You may use the ideas in the coursebook (CB.p.109) to help you.
I think graffiti is an art, Not everybody does graffiti because you need a talent to do graffiti, Graffiti is common in Turkey. Generally, you can see graffiti on the walls and an old builds. I cannot say that some graffities aren't successfull because they don't have talent for graffiti; however, they do graffiti so it isn't successful. Some graffities are very colourful and beautiful so you can see them on an abandoned places. It will not be a crime but if you do graffiti on the walls of people's home than it will be a crime.
I think,graffiti is vandalism and it is a crime.It is wrong to paint graffiti on the walls of buildings where people live or work.Graffiti artists should paint graffiti on building where nobody lives.In fact,graffiti is attractive and interesting also some graffitis are imaginative but some graffitis are ugly.For example,`Ali loves Ayse`is not creative,it is ugly.There are some graffiti in Cyprus,like `Ali loves Ayse` but there is no imagination and creativity. To sum up,politicians should open a special place for graffiti artists so that them can show their creativity.
