Writing topic 37. Pros and Cons of Social Networking Sites
In this task, we are going to share our views on Social Networking sites.
What are the pros and cons of using social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter?
I think,nowadays there are a lot of chat sites.For example,Facebook and Twitter are the most common tools in the world.Facebook has five hundred million users and this is a great number of figures.I think,there are both advantages and disadvantage of having social networking sites.Firstly,we can find old friends and we can meet new people on Facebook.If we meet foreign people we can practies our English and we can also learn another foreign language from them.On the other hand,there are severaldisadvantages.For example,young people spend a long time on chat sites such as,playing games,watching video and chatting so students don't spend enough time for their studies and they can't take responsibility of their learning,adolescents spend more time than on chat sites.Therefore,they have psychological disorders,asocial behaivor and aggressive movements.Sometimes people don't give the right information about themself and that's dangerous.To sum up,the disadvantages of using chat sites overweight the advantage.I believe people should spend less time on chat site and they should also be careful when they chat online.
My favorite site to facebook because allows me to find old friend. My opinion, nowadays the most used social networks, facebook and twitter. We can find old friend and we can meet new people on facebook and meet new people and provide them to exchange information. We can practice with foreign people. On the other hand, People spend so much time against a cumputer This also, There is a very big impact on people and logical disorders has occurs. People hide their personal information while chatting. This also, people the among occurs in insecurity. My opinion, people increase their own personal development rather than spending more on social networks would be more useful to navigate sites.
Firstly ,I like Facebook because it has an important place in our lives. Most importatly , communication is great. I use all features of Facebook. For example ,I can find my old friends. I congratulate my friends on their birthdays.This feature is very important because it helps me remember my friends’ birthdays and Facebook solves this problem. Finally , Facebook is useful for many people and it is very benefical for us.
CANSIN İSKENDER; Many people believe that social networking sites are very good for us. But at the same time It’s very bad.Many children always use computers so they are not doing another work which means that them ignore their studies and homework.We are showing ourselves to another people and many people commit a crime because of this. Some people give wrong information because of this for example; “This year Eurovision represantative, Can BONOMO won’t sing for Eurovision.” Said many people and It’s a wrong information spread around.Can BONOMO won’t sing for Eurovision and currenten we have such problems so, this means that we shouldn’t believe in all the news and information we read or hear on the ınternet.There are some people who deliberately try to damage the people. They do it on purpase.
Today, lot of students spend most of their time after-school in front of this kind of leading social network. Facebook also provides lot of free games for its members.This has negative effects on students. Additionally, Facebook affects the students’ real life interaction and they concentrate only for making new friends and join in new groups, bıt they ignore the people arpound them as wel l as their feelings. These negative effects of Facebook affect students’ life badly. If Facebook werenot around, then people would spend their time elsewhere like YouTube. I think it is the reponsibility of parents and how they guide their children on using Internet effectively and save their time.
